Engineering and communicating treatment plans

We have a wide variety of treatment options at our disposal to deliver superior outcomes in dentistry. In many cases, the only limitation placed on dentists and their teams is their imaginations...and their ability to communicate treatment options to their patient.

Every clinician develops his or her own style for evaluating a patient, arriving at treatment recommendations, and then consulting with them.  There are often overlooked, basic organizational skills that successful practices routinely use. Additionally, when information is organized and presented clearly and logically, patients perceive value and accept recommendations. This allows dentists to provide desirable, often elective, solutions.

This short course is designed to outline a structure for collecting subjective and clinical information with the focus of providing patients with logical and actionable recommendations. Additionally, we will incorporate the Osstell ConsultationTool to demonstrate how to clearly educate patients using this simple but sophisticated visual tool to gain patient acceptance and consent.
