Advances in implant site development

Implant site development plays an important role in the prosthetic rehabilitation of partially edentulous and completely edentulous patients.  Understanding the indications and limitations of different hard and soft tissue augmentation techniques enhances a clinician’s ability to predict therapeutic outcomes.  This course will demonstrate how hard and soft tissue augmentation can enhance restorative outcomes.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify key surgical anatomical structures that influence surgical diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Identify incision and flap design techniques in hard and soft tissue surgery
  • Understand the process of wound healing and tissue regeneration
  • Identify key steps in both hard and soft tissue augmentation
  • Illustrate the role of hard and soft tissue augmentation is prosthetic rehabilitation
  • Understand how digital technology enhances implant site development and it influence on the Perio-Restorative interface
