Session 6

Severe hard/soft tissue and space discrepancies, and the impact on the patient

The challenge of choice: How to deal with large bone deficiencies and the surgical choices for the anterior maxilla today and tomorrow?

How to choose between the digital and analog approach?

What are the choices between pink tissue and pink ceramic?

Meet the patient

Hannah’s job involves contact with clients and since her denture has loosened she feels less confident about smiling, which has had an impact on her work. She is considering having her 15-year-old bridge removed in favor of implants. Hannah was previously told that she would need two bone grafts, due to severe horizontal and vertical bone loss, which shocked her. She is now looking for a more permanent solution that includes natural-looking gums and is hopefully less invasive.
