Dragana Rakasevic graduated at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 2011. In September 2017, earned Ph.D. on ‘’Evaluation of the efficiency of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of peri-implantitis’’. She specialized in the field of Periodontology and Oral Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Belgrade in July 2018. Participate in students’ education and training at Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
Currently, she has been on the position as Research assistant on science-research projects for the Ministry of Science, Education, and Technology (# 41008: Interaction etiopathogenetic mechanisms of periodontitis and peri-implantitis with systemic diseases of today).
She is Member of the Periodontology Association of Serbia and European Federation of Periodontology, member of European Association for Ossointegration (EAO), and joined Women Implantology Network, WIN, in February 2019.
Author and co-author of the several national and international research papers, presentations, and scientific meetings, such as short oral and poster presentation at Europerio 9 and 8, Serbian symposium of Oral Surgeon and Implatologist, Congress of BASS. 
Has two research projects; one is about examining new dermal collagen matrix and its use in the gingival recession therapy since 2014, while another one is about evaluation efficiency of the application photodynamic therapy in the surgical treatment of peri-implantitis.
