VSSAcademy Ltd was founded in 2002 by Dr Fadi Barrak: ITI Fellow and Oral Surgeon. 

They are dedicated to supporting dental professionals through high quality education and training in the field of dental implants and more, delivered by a Faculty of Dentists who are specialists in their chosen field and passionate about educating young dentists. When you join VSSAcademy you are joining a growing Alumni network, with access to high-quality education, mentoring and research opportunities. 

For the dentist who is looking to begin their training in implant dentistry, they offer a variety of pathways:

• The one-year Certificate in Implant Dentistry provides more than enough theory and practical skills in order to build your confidence, so that you can begin placing dental implants under supervision. 
• Modular courses delivered in a blended format during weekends allow this course to be completed with minimal disruption or time out of your practice.

For those dentists looking for more formal qualifications, VSSAcademy also delivers the popular MSc in Clinical Implantology. This is a two-year part-time MSc awarded by UCLan (University of Central Lancashire) which comprises the full 180 credits traditionally delivered over a three-year course.

The content is delivered by a fully supportive Faculty at VSSAcademy and UCLan, in a blended format: recorded lectures, live webinars, hands-on practical skills workshops, online modules, assignments  essays and questions and treatment of live patients, provided for you in the safety of UCLam-approved local Training Centres in all the major cities in Scotland.

This course has been running for 4 years and takes place in Glasgow and Birmingham

For dentists who want to expand their skills into more complex implant cases, they provide the annual Cadaver course for complex surgical implant procedures. This is a three-day intensive course which covers all manner of complex techniques, including sinus lift, implant placement, GBR and explantation, soft tissue grafting and more.

The VSSAcademy also has a thriving Alumni group, who enjoy ongoing, post-course education and support, through mentoring, case study webinars, journal clubs and research.
