Tim Harris

Tim qualified from the University of Bristol in 2002 and spent the early years, in various hospitals in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. After taking the opportunity to work in New Zealand for a year in 2007, Tim returned to the UK to divide his time between private practice, teaching Oral Surgery at the University of Bristol and previously a Dentist with Special Interest (DwSI) in Oral Surgery.

Tim is a partner in Circus Dental, Bath, having spent the previous ten years in an implant referral practice for the South West. Tim has a scope of practice focusing on the surgical aspects of implant dentistry and oral surgery. Tim completed his MSc in Dental Implantology (with distinction) in 2012 and has established a reputation for treating complex cases requiring multi unit restorations in a multi disciplinary team. He has a particular interest in hard and soft tissue regeneration using guided bone, block bone and sinus grafting methods, together with soft tissue enhancement techniques.

Tim has a wealth of teaching experience within dentistry including clinical supervision and examination of undergraduate dentists at the University of Bristol and leadership of teaching units in the postgraduate MSc in Implantology, also at the University of Bristol. Tim is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education. He also teaches conscious sedation updates with Health Education England to other dental teams in the UK and is a recognised Fellow of the International Team of Impantology as well as a registered Straumann speaker and mentor.
