Thomas Starch-Jensen is professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Aalborg University Hospital. Thomas defended his PhD-thesis “Maxillary sinus floor augmentation with Bio-Oss and particulated autogenous mandibular or iliac bone grafts in different ratios” in 2011. Thomas has authored several papers focusing on alveolar ridge augmentation in the posterior maxilla with the use of autogenous bone graft or bone substitutes. Thomas is a well-know national and international speaker and his current research interests are oral implantology, bone biology, and orthognatic surgery.
