Morten Grauballe graduated as a dentist from University in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2005. In 2016 he defended his PhD thesis concerning the interrelationship between periodontitis and diabetes.

He has been working in private practice since 2005 and today he is working at Tandlægen.dk, where his emphasis lays on treating infection around teeth and implants. He has published research nationally and internationally and given lectures covering the topics of peri-implantitis and periodontitis.

Morten Grauballe became an ITI member in 2015, and an ITI Fellow in 2019. He is the Chair in the Danish ITI Section.
