Esben Kardel graduated as a dentist from University in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2000. In 2009 he did a special education in implant prosthodontics by the Norwegian Dental Association.

He has been working in private practice since 2000 and became the owner of Mikkels Tannhus in Oslo in 2007. Beside that he has since 2013 been lecturing both nationally and internationally covering the topics as resin-bonded prosthodontics, electrosurgery, scanning, and ergonomics.

Esben Kardel became an ITI member in 2012, and an ITI Fellow in 2019. He is the Education delegate in the Norway-Sweden Section and as such member of the leadership team. He is a member of the Norwegian Dental Association.
