A certified dentist from Umeå University since 1992. The specialist education in maxillofacial surgery was carried out at the University Hospital in Örebro in 2004 under Prof. Ragnar Adell, and with a fellowship at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, UTSW Dallas, Texas, USA, under prof. Edward Ellis III in 2003. Until 2010, he worked as a Senior consultant in the department of plastic and maxillofacial surgery at the University Hospital in Uppsala. He had as his main research areas computer-assisted surgery, facial fractures, and reconstructive surgery. Elias has many years of experience in implant surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, and advanced bone building and has focused on guided surgery since 2005.

Since 2010, Elias has worked at Uppsala Oral Surgery Center, one of Sweden's leading implant treatment centers, focusing on clinically oriented implantology and digital workflow. Elias currently divides his active time between Uppsala Oral Surgery Centrum and Colosseum Specialist Clinic in Stockholm. In addition, he is a specialty representative in dentoalveolar and implant surgery within the specialist clinics and Smile/Colosseum Dental Group.

Elias has lectured both nationally and internationally on modern maxillofacial surgery. He was recently elected to the Colosseum Academy Scientific Advisory Board to establish best practices in oral surgery/Implantology for the Colosseum Dental Group.
