Call for Abstracts


Take an active role in the congress by submitting an abstract for a Poster Presentation!

Poster Presenters must register for the congress. There will be a prize for the three best posters.


Abstract submission

All abstracts must be submitted online. Your abstract can be submitted here.

Only abstracts that are submitted electronically using the official online tool will be considered.
Your abstract may have a maximum of 4,000 words and must be structured as follows:

  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Evaluation Criteria

Abstracts are evaluated according to the criteria below:

  • Goals, hypothesis, & background
  • Methodology
  • Results & conclusions


The Scientific Program Committee will review all abstracts that comply with the above criteria.
The final posters will also be evaluated according to the above criteria as well as: Clarity of layout & graphics

Poster judging

Please note that your poster will be judged between Thursday 3:30 p.m. and Friday 1:30 p.m. and will only be eligible for the award if displayed by Thursday 8:30 a.m. Your presence is not required.

Poster award ceremony

The poster award ceremony will be held on the last congress day and the best 3 posters will win 3 years (1st prize), 2 years (2nd prize) and 1 year (3rd prize) digital ITI membership

Please make sure to be at the ceremony. If for any reason you have to leave earlier, please make sure that someone else is present on your behalf.

Poster layout

Dimensions:                     A0: 118.9 cm (height) x 84.1 cm (width), portrait format

Display:                             All posters are to be printed - no electrical supply will be available

Information to be included

Title:                                   Use the title of your abstract

Main author:                      Your name as it appears on your abstract

Co-author(s):                    The name(s) as it/they appear(s) on your abstract

Content:                             There are no set rules for designing the poster

                                            Be creative in reflecting the content of your research in your design

                                            Be innovative in combining text with graphics to convey the major points of the research project effectively and directly

Pre and on-site poster registration

On-site:                              Please sign in at the check-in counter. On signing in, each presenter will be allocated a number/location.

                                            Opening Times: Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

For any questions outside the above opening times, please contact the regular registration check-in counter.

Installing and taking down posters

The pinboards will be organized in 5 categories and numbered consecutively:

  • Basic Research
  • Clinical Research (Surgery)
  • Clinical Research (Prosthodontics)
  • Clinical Case Reports (Surgery)
  • Clinical Case Reports (Restorative)


Posters must be put up at the latest by 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 and removed by 4:30 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2018.

We will store poster tubes until Saturday after the Award Ceremony. No liability will be taken

Any posters that remain will not be sent on to you but discarded.
