Ahmad Hamdan

 

I graduated from the University of Jordan with bachelor’s in dental surgery (BDS) in 2002. I then obtained my Master’s degree in Osteoarticular biology, Biomaterials & Biofunctionality from the University Denis Diderot – Paris 7, and a Master’s degree in Periodontology from the University Denis Diderot – Paris 7. I obtained my PhD from the same university in the year 2009. Moreover, I followed a specializing training in periodontology and implant dentistry in the University Denis Diderot – Paris 7 during the period 2005-2008. I passed the Jordanian Medical Council exam in periodontology (Jordanian Board) in the year 2010. 

I joined the School of Dentistry in the University of Jordan as assistant professor in the year 2009, and the Jordan University Hospital as consultant periodontist in the year 2009. I am currently Associate Professor, and Consultant Periodontist. In addition, I work as visiting Consultant Periodontist in a private clinic in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

During my career, I occupied the position of Secretary General of Jordanian Dental Association for the period 2015-2016. I was member of the Jordanian Dental Association Council for the period 2013-2016. I occupied the position of Assistant Dean for Development and Quality Assurance Affairs in the School of Dentistry – University of Jordan for the period 2011-2016. Currently, I am the Vice-Dean for Hospital and Quality Assurance Affairs. 

I am interested in the different aspects of periodontal therapy, especially guided tissue regeneration and periodontal plastic surgery. I am also interested in the biology of wound healing and bone regeneration.
