Sophocles Voyiazis graduated from the Dental School of the University of Athens, Greece (1996-2001). During his studies he received the Greek State Scholarship (IKY) for his results at the entrance exams and for his performance in the 4th year of Dental School.  

He continued his studies at the Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M University, Dallas, USA, where he completed a 3-year Specialty program in Prosthodontics and at the same time obtained a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Oral Biology (2001-04).

After completing his post-graduate studies, he received the International Team for Implantology (ITI) Scholarship and worked for a year at the Fixed Prosthodontics department of the University of Geneva, Switzerland, with Prof. Urs Belser (2005-06).

He maintains a full-time private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implantology in Nicosia, Cyprus since 2006. In 2017 he established the Smilelab Nicosia dental center.

Dr Voyiazis is an active speaker and presented in numerous Continuing Education courses, Study Clubs and Congresses in Cyprus, Greece, Europe and North America. He lectured in three ITI World Congresses (Munich 2005, New York 2007, Basel 2017) and delivered a full-day course at the BC Comprehensive Dental Treatment Seminar (Vancouver 2015).

He is an ITI Fellow (2007) and served as the Education Delegate (2009-13) and Communications Officer (2013-16) of the Greece and Cyprus ITI Section. In 2023 he was selected as an Active Member of the Hellenic Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (HAED).  He is also a Member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) and of the European Academy of Osseointegration (EAO).

Moreover, he was a Scientific Collaborator in the Fixed Prosthodontics department of the European University Dental School, Nicosia, Cyprus (2020-22).
